Is there a way how to align graphics on different tracks?
Posted by Michal Bronec on December 5, 2013 at 11:00 pmSome guides, rulers or something like that. I animated three logos (two on the top of the screen, one at the bottom), now I need to align them (their distance and size).

December 6, 2013 at 3:06 amTurn snap on. Then position cursor to the beginning of an event in the group. Get close to the beginning and left click, and the cursor will jump to be right on the beginning of the event. Then, drag all the other events to the cursor position. They will snap into place. Then move the cursor to the desired end point. Adjust the lengths of all events until they snap into place aligned with the cursor.
Done.

[Bob Peterson] “Get close to the beginning and left click, and the cursor will jump to be right on the beginning of the event”
_______________________________________________________________Bob, I’m not sure our chum is asking what to do at EVENT Level with regard to Snapping, as Michal is asking about “guides, rulers” and “distance and size”:

[Michal Bronec] “Some guides, rulers or something like that. I animated three logos (two on the top of the screen, one at the bottom), now I need to align them (their distance and size)”
_______________________________________________________________My interpretation is that Michal is asking about aligning the actual “content”, and here, that would be Logos appearing in several places on-screen. Hence my suggestion about the Grids, which I use to check alignment of graphical components.
I just wish that SCS would get the Grid Overlays to appear on the 2nd/External monitor. They already have this available in DVDA. Sometimes it’s as if those engineering Vegas don’t speak with the DVDA gang…..
Cheers

December 6, 2013 at 1:13 pmIf you create a graphic in Photoshop, you can drop it on the timline to give you all the layers on different tracks.

December 6, 2013 at 4:52 pmYou’re welcome.
You can also alter the number of grid lines in the:
Toolbar>Preferences> Video Tab – “Video Preview display” section

December 8, 2013 at 8:26 amSteve, you need to Right Drag to Timeline. You then get a Drop down Menu, select: “Add across Tracks“, and as Roger said, all the PSD Layers appear in their own Tracks. It’s great for doing a deconstruction and developing reconstruction of a Client’s Logo and then manipulating each element, really impresses the Fee-payer.
