Is there a “trigger sfx from markers / keyframes” plugin for AE CS4+?
I’m potentially going to be involved in a project where we’ll be using a lot of sound effects which need to be synced to events like layers spinning round or appearing, text typing on screen, etc. Rather than add them individually, it’d be great to have a plugin where you can add each sfx layer once, then trigger them depending on numbered markers or something. Does such a plugin exist?

Dan, in the expressions forum, has lots of free expressions of markers and audio keyframes triggering stuff. you can simply put that into a script to add the audio tracks in. if it’s too tricky for you, you can hire people to write custom scripts which would be cheaper than buying a plugin, if one existed, anyway.

Thanks all. I don’t think converting audio to keyframes will do what I want (I need the marker to fire off the sfx, not the other way round) but I’ll have a look at Soundkeys 🙂
