Is there a fix for Firewire DV captures with the wrong audio sample rate?
Whenever I make Firewire captures from my Panasonic consumer-level camcorder, the audio sample rate is always fractionally off 48K. It’ll be something like 48.0001 or 48.0003.
This means that I always have to render the audio to 48.0000KHz once I’ve placed it into the timeline, which slows down editing. It’s an annoyance, because FCP is pretty quick to use otherwise.
Are there any fixes for this issue beyond the rendering? FWIW, I *don’t* get the problem when capturing into Avid or Premiere Pro from the same camcorder. I’m using FCP 5.1.4 on a 2.16 MacBook Pro with 2Gb RAM running OS X 10.4.10.

I’ve encountered that issue once or twice mayself. I either ignore it, or transcode the entire video file in QT Pro to a file with 48Khz audio.
