Is there a Decomb plugin for Vegas ? (De-Interlacer)
Hi Everybody,
I’m not satisfied with the built-in DeInterlace methods in Vegas :
– Blend blurs too much
– Interpolate throws away too much detail, which is noticeable on the texts and logos especiallyI’ve tried the Yadif plugin for Vegas which gives great results but it’s very slow.
Handbrake uses an amazing Deinterlace method called “Decomb” :
https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/DecombIt only deinterlates the frames that are visibly interlaced. So not only is it faster, but you can always leave it on whether your video in interlaced or not 🙂
Does anyone know if there’s a Decomb plugin for Vegas ?
I’ve made a search on Google but didn’t find anything.

There isnt a truly professional and efficient De-Interlace
plugin available for Sony Vegas as yet Cedric. Boris CC has one,
but its not quite there as yet.
Im Hoping RevisionFX FieldsKit or Magic Bullet Frames will soon

Thank you Steve. I guess I’ll keep using Vegas for editing and Handbrake for encoding.
