Is the Random Media Encoder CC Mute Problems Fixed?

However it has been quite some time since Adobe staff has responded to that thread, so I thought I’d create a new thread to see if it is fixed. Right now I’m wasting alot of time with Premiere Pro CC / Adobe Media Encoder CC as this combination will produce encodes with randomly muted audio tracks, effectively making Adobe Media Encoder unusable. Because I and other CC users rely on Media encoder for their batch export workflow, I’m wondering if Adobe has addressed the problem in the newest release Premiere Pro CS 7.0.1 (105) or not. Please respond so I can use Adobe Media encoder again!
Also I can’t believe that there are note more posts about this problem as it effectively makes Adobe Media Encoder CC unusable.

I’m on the mac version of AME CC.

I’m on the Mac version and see it all the time but it is maybe 1 out of 4 encodes where it does this. For a export with just 1 or 2 audio tracks that run throughout it’s not too bad but what if it mutes a track with just a short bit of audio on it — that’s bad. Check the links in the Adobe forum above to see the extent of the problem. It is real and acknowledged by Adobe.

I’m having the same problem with mine. Any time they is audio on more than 1 audio track it’s mutes all but Track 1. Serious problem. Not a fan having to work around one of the best features of Media Encoder.

There is one way that I worked around the issue, which is to basically make new audio tracks for all the old audio tracks, copy the old audio into the new tracks and delete the old audio tracks. After doing this I never experienced the problem. I did this on about 20 videos that were very problematic so I think this workaround works. Search in the Adobe Premiere Pro forum for my posts in more detail about the workaround if you are not clear. However – very bad on Adobe for this bug. It has wasted a lot of my time and I’m sure others, like you.

Thanks for that alt work around Keith, I hadn’t tried that way.
We’ve been doing mix-down exports of the audio for exporting through Media Encoder.
So far it’s worked fine, and luckily the videos have all been under 2 min, so not a lot of time wasted. But agreed, such a small time consuming bug, I hope gets remedied soon.
