  • Is the “Format-tab” supposed to default to fullHD?

Posted by Kent Kumpula on September 1, 2011 at 2:17 pm

I am quite surprised to find that no matter what settings I choose for a project, the “Format-tab” or “Format-page” or whatever we call it… it always changes the output to 1920×1080.

This can´t be correct, can it? Shouldn´t it default to output whatever settings the projuect is set to. Like 720p, PAL-SD… Where can I adjust the output format so it is always automatically adjusted to the project setting?

Its just the video output, scale it up to fit your 1920 screen.
I think the Decklink card just doest do much 720s

Yeah, but this specific workstation only has a 720p monitor. And the project is set to 720p, the footage is 720p… and yet the format page always defaults to 1080p. That is just weird, it can´t be that difficult to have it adjust according to the project settings. What are project settings for, if the project isn´t set according to the project settings…

If I don´t change this to 720p I can´t see the whole image on the reference monitor, and when I render out a new file it is set to 1080p (if I haven´t changed it on the format tab).
