Is Resolve 12 backward compatible?
Can I make a project in Resolve 12 and later open it in resolve 11.
I have to sent a DRP file to some one that did not update as yet. We both have the dongle.

No, projects in v12 are not compatible with v11.

No. The only way you could exchange projects would be to export stills from every single shot in the project, import those stills, and then manually drop those grades into the shots. Keyframes and tracking would not transport.
My advice would be to back up the other computer, then upgrade it to Resolve 12 and see how well it works. If there’s issues, go back to 11. Be extra sure to backup the project database.
