    Is Red 5.5 a paid Upgrade?

    Is the upgrade from RED 5.0 to 5.5 a paid for upgrade? I just reinstalled RED 5.06 on a new system and 5.5 is asking for an unlock code.
    I go to the “Boris RED New Product Serial Number Activation” link enter my email, but the activation code doesn’t work. I don’t see an activation code in my email.

    Message on the activation website: You have 0 activations available.

    Do I need to deactivate the registration on my old machine if so how do I do that?

    Also, When I installed 5.06, the trial period activation screen pops up and I enter my unlock code but it says that I entered an invalid number for Boris RED registration.

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Byron,

    No, the RED 5.5 would use the same Serial to license as RED 5.0~5.2 would have used. If you are changing your OS or boot drive, you will need to DeActivate your Serial or get a new Unlock, but if it comes to that, you wouldn’t need to purchase a new license/upgrade.
