Is Macbook 15 2019 16GB RAM Good enough for After Effects?
I mainly do motion graphics and I would have other apps like Photoshop or Illustrator open at the same time. Not to mention a browser like Chrome.
I currently have Macbook 13 2017 8GB RAM and it’s already suffering. I thought about getting a Windows laptop with maybe 32GB RAM but those aren’t so cheap also plus, I prefer MAC over Windows.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I can def say yes to almost any decent RAM loaded MacBook Pro.
Now MacBook and Air, I have had some experience and they can do some heavy lifting.
My only experience with that is from students of mine that have to use them during class.
They sometimes show me their side projects and I can judge from their issues and level of frustration on how they handle AE/Premiere on their laptops.
    So far so good.
I could easily cripple a 16GB MacBook with a few of my projects but I wouldn’t even entertain using one for that.
It will all depend on your patience and workflow.
Don’t use a lot of super high res pixels and avoid multi-layered AI files.
Vector layers above 20 plus tend to kill a D500 64GB MacPro here.
