Is Lion 10.7.3 Media100 friendly?
Posted by Jaeson Koszarsky on February 2, 2012 at 4:41 pmI found some old posts saying the 10.7.2 was ok, what about 10.7.3? We still have some legacy projects with the media100i codec. Thanks.

February 2, 2012 at 5:05 pmI forgot to mention that we’re using Media100 Suite 2.1.

February 2, 2012 at 6:14 pmI’d hold off if I were you. People are reporting a nasty bug with 10.7.3 that causes applications to crash right after they’re launched.
I like to wait until Media 100 gives their blessing on updates… been burned in the past by being too anxious with OS updates 😉

February 2, 2012 at 6:28 pmApple did drop support for PPC apps so people will need to replace those with intel versions.
I’m upgrading from 10.6.7 to Lion. I’ll take it to 10.7.2 and wait for Media100’s acceptance before going further.

February 2, 2012 at 9:57 pmI’ve been running Suite 2.1 under OS 10.7.3 with no problems so far. But I agree with the other comments; it’s usually wise to wait for the official blessing from Media 100 before upgrading the OS. I’ve simply never had problems with previous upgrades, so I figured I’d go for it.

February 9, 2012 at 8:26 pmIn the monitor window, I used to have a button in the upper right that would let me turn safe title guides on/off. I just noticed that it’s not there now. Maybe something related to switching over to Lion? Is there somewhere else that I can turn the guide feature on/off?

Yeah, Apple got rid of the bubbles in the upper right hand corners of the windows. You can still show/hide the window Toolbars via the View Menu->Show Toolbars/Hide Toolbars or with the keyboard shortcut CMD-Option-T
