does anyone have a solution to this problem:

since i created COMPS (by magic feather definition) instead of projects, updating old projects (from an old drive) has been tricky.

some old events have comps, which can be worked around by copy pasting the comp and creating a new project in the timeline, but for events that don’t have comps, i don’t know where the projects are.

i can relink media in the events after a couple clicks which is fine, but projects aren’t available, therefore the timeline is blank.

they seem to be in a folder called ‘final cut libraries’ which was created when i updated to 10.1 and my whole drive became a library, and my events became events within that new library.

my question: is it possible to use a current version ‘.fcpproject’ or a backup ‘.fcpproject’ to relink the project back into the timeline?

NOTE: i have successfully updated events/timelines using event manager etc but this is for an old drive and event manager isn’t recognizing this drive

    thank you all in advance
