After Effects has a variety of distort effects. You might like to try the Liquify effect which is based on the Photoshop version.

Thank you for your reply, but, again, when I say “Distort,” I mean the way you can Distort a layer in Photoshop. (When you select “Transform,” and you can transform with “Perspective,” “Scale,” “Skew,” “Warp” and “Distort.”

You can use the Corner Pin effect, but I believe it’s only available in the Pro version of AE.

You could also try CC Power Pin. The Transform effect also has a Skew parameter. And how about just making the layer 3D and changing it’s perspective that way?

Where is the Corner Pin option?

I’d don’t want to consider using the 3D option because it will be too much trouble for what I am doing. I’d be doing a lot of small distortions to a layer within a comp, and I was hoping there’d be something as easy as Photoshop’s Trasform-> Warp, Distort and the like, where I could just grab the corners of a layer and drag a little.

    Thanks,
    Mike

All of the distortion effects, including Corner Pin are in the Distort section of the Effects menu. Bezier Warp may also be useful for what you are talking about. Check the Help Menu (F1) also.
