  • Is it possible to run UltraScope along with Resolve on same machine?

Posted by Steve Macmillan on April 11, 2012 at 12:19 am

We have a 2.93Ghz 12core Mac with 32GB and a Cubix expander with one open slot.

It it possible to run UltraScope on the same machine as Resolve if I install the UltraScope card in the Cubix and loop HDSDI from the Decklink 3D to the UltraScope card?

Would it dramatically slow the system down? Would UltraScope update in the background?

    Thanks

I don’t think this is possible. Ultra scope has specific gpu requirements. Doubt it can share.

There are scopes built in to resolve.

Not possible to run in the same machine, tried it for kicks and it locks up.

Interesting you tried. Well that clears that up.

A compatible PC is so cheap that even if you could it would scarcely be worth it.
