Is it possible to not select the “.mp4” part when I double click on the file to rename it?

[David Bernal] “Is it possible to not select the “.mp4″ part when I double click on the file to rename it?”

    What happens when you try?

When I double click on the file name it selects the whole name including the file extension so I have to carefully select the file name without the “.mp4” otherwise it deletes the files extension and says “If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable”

I can still change the file names but its very tedious having to make sure I deselect the “.mp4” especially if I have 50 files I need to rename.

If you have lots of files to rename, you might try the MediaRenamer tool in HappyOtterScripts. Here is a screen grab. It permits the bulk renaming of files with quite a few renaming options.

At the moment, HOS is still in beta through mid-March. You can download a trial here. https://tools4vegas.com/
