  • Is it possible to make subclips from multicam clips in Premiere Pro CC?

Been using Premiere for years, but I am new to Premiere Pro CC. I love the new syncing/multicam feature. I noticed that it doesn’t just make it into a nested sequence. It seems to be a hybrid between the old multicam nesting and merging clips. It gave me a clip that opens in the source monitor like a normal clip so I hoped I would be able to make subclips from my multi cams, but alas this still doesn’t seem to be possible. Am I missing something or is there still no way to do this?

You could mark an in and out in the timeline, copy and paste into another timeline then nest that and call it a subclip.

Yea, I might try that. Thanks Paul.

I tried this in CC 2015.3 and it doesn’t work…

Does anyone know a better way to accomplish this? Thanks all!
