  • is it possible to import premier project into a.e as seperate layers?

hello there, ive got the adobe production bundle and its great, the dynamic link feature is incredible (if not a bit cpu hungry) but i was wondering, when importing from premier pro 2 to a.e 7 is it possible to bring the prem file in as it is in premier; transitions etc.

    https://www.automaticduck.com/products/piae/

offer a plug in that allows you to import from fcp or avid with all the transitions and they are customisable but when i import from premier, a.e just displays one layer which i then have to cut up at the right points to apply filters to..

another advantage of importing as seperate layers would mean i could grade or effect a clip that is being disolved etc.

    hope someone can help 🙂

    Hello,

You should be able to import as Premiere Pro project file then each cut should be outset and recreated the exact edit you had in Premeire pro. However I know it adds the transitions but I do not know if it takes all transitions as it still does not see the Premiere Pro text as in AFter Effects comes in as a blank layer whoch is annoying seeing made by the same company.

I think adobe has a list somewhere of which aspects of premiere will be imported and how. I get separate layers for each clip and transition on imports.
