Is it possible to convert a divX file to DVD format along with subtitles?
Hi there
Basically I have a divX file that has a separate subtitles file. Now in WMP this works fine as it finds the subtitle file in the same directory and so plays it with subs. However is there a way of burning this file to a DVD with the subtitle option on them? Does that make sense? Normally I use WinAVI video convertor to change my divx to dvd but i dont know how to include subtitles?

I didn’t understand from your post if you’re using Adobe encore or not
The main question is whether you want to add the subtitles permanently for your file (meaning that the subtitles are part of the video) or you want that in the dvd you’ll have the option to show subtitlesplease specify which is the option you’re seeking so I’ll know how to answer your question

Hi there,
I basically want to have the subtitles….embedded or as an option. Its for a foreign film, so embedded is probably best. I can use encore, but it wont take divx files will it?

I’m quite new to Encore, haven’t tried to add DivX filesBut since you wanted permanent embedding here’s a link that shows how to do it:
