    Is it possible to capture HD live through firewire with punch-in and punch-out?

    Is it possible to capture HD live through firewire with punch-in and punch-out?

    It seems it may be only a batch-capture type process that adds the files to the project but not the timeline. Hope I’m wrong because it would save me a lot of time.

    You can capture direct to disk if that’s what you mean, but you still have to add them to the time line. SD and HDV only.
