Is it okay to use Mic+48v setting for a non-phantom mic
I’ve been working with the Sony FS7, which has three audio input settings – mic, 48v and line. I was wondering if there are any implications for using the 48v setting for a non-phantom powered Mic? When I’ve done that the audio still seems to work but I’m curious if it affects the audio in a way I’m not hearing?
