Is it me? (sync pains…)
Or do all my exports seem to be 2 frames off? I have a client that consistently points out audio synch issues. I can kind of tell what he is getting at. It looks like the mouth moves about 2 frames before the audio hits the ears. Its very subtle, but it’s there.
Is this something technical? Is this something known? Are we staring at it too long and thinking too much about it? Is it a compression/bit rate thing?
Any and all help/suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Post your workflow. You shot and captured or transfered to what? and what are the settings you’re using for exporting?

we had a similar problem recently.
it was tied in with our workflow, which was kind of specific, but not unique.we were capturing film directly from a Telecine into FCP using capture now.
the resulting files had corrupt headers, or TC information, (or something)
the weird upshot of which was EXPORTS from the timeline (maybe from the viewer – cant remember) were 2-3 frames out of sync.solution was to EXPORT the clips as QTMovies, same settings,
bring those files back in, and modify the TC (which was now off) based on the burn-in.nick
