Is Chrosziel Crazy?
I had a passing thought to buy a 15mm swing away adapter to convert my Chrosziel CF-SS/ST for DSLR use. After all, Chrosziel is marketing a line of DSLR accessories. Turns out the little 15mm swing away bracket is marked down to only $564 (retail $611). Oh, and a set of side wings will add on another $441. It is not clear to me how the Chrosziel lens – matte box interface works, but it is certain to cost big money. Considering the well-regarded Redrock microMatteBox deluxe bundle comes in under a grand (including the matte box, 15mm rail swing-away mount, french flag and side wings, lens donuts, filter stages and holders!), I’m just wondering if anyone experienced with both systems can compare and comment on the Redrock quality in comparison to Chrosziel.
