Pardon me while I vent for a moment. Since the Pinnacle DC1000 only works with Adobe Premiere, I figured this would be the appropriate board.

If anyone is still using the Pinnacle DC1000, then you probably remember that when that card was discontinued, Pinnacle refused to release the code for the drivers so someone else could update them to work with other products. Then they locked off their user support board from any new posts. It was like Pinnacle told all of us to just f*** off. But now, Avid has bought the Pinncale company. Is it too much to hope that Avid might find it in their hearts to either develope new drivers for the DC1000, or make the code available to users who might? I ask this because I’ve given up trying to reach someone at Avid who can answer this question. It has been an exercise in frustration. I can’t even ascertain that anyone at Avid even knows of this situation, and I can’t get through to anyone who will listen to me about it.

If anyone on this board feels the same way that I do, and if you know anyone at Avid, please give them a nudge for me. Thanks!

Not to side step your question, but why would you even want to continue to use the DC1000?

I had one and tossed it and have been capturing from firewire. If you have non digital media do you have a DV device that supports pass through?
