Like the Logic SMPTE bar? If so, how?

    Thanks for any replies!

    I don’t quite know what you’re asking.

Do you mean a “Burned-in Timecode Window” where you can see the timecode running over the video?

If so, you should make a copy of your Sequence (to keep the Master “clean”) just add the Timecode Print Filter.

Effects tab > Video Filters > Video > Timecode Print

You can choose TCG or TCR function.

You can NEST your COPY of the Sequence and the filter will show the TC beginning from the head of the Sequence.

Depending on your Sequence and your system, you may need to RENDER the effect.

I suspect he means a floating window in the application that will display the current playhead timecode as seen in many audio sequencing applications.

I don’t believe this is possible in Final Cut.

    Yes Nic-

I am on a show with long speeches and the producer has been using TC to pick soundbites.

I thought a nice big TC bar would allow me a little space at the controls.

Thanks for the replies ladies and gentlemen-

I appreciate knowing about Timecode Burn in and I will check out that tutorial!
