IRE mapping issues with FCP 5.1.1, QT 7.1.12, 5.6.2 Drivers
I recently upgraded my client to the latest drivers from BMD, as I also upgraded him to FCP 5.1.1 and QuickTime 7.1.2.
He has an original HD Multibridge hooked up to a Decklink HD Pro.
The issue now is that Beta SP ingest through the Multibridge into the HD Pro is mapping blacks to 0 IRE, even though the black level settings are set to 7.5 IRE in both the HD Pro and Multibridge settings.
We made every test possible to ensure that the remapping is occuring in the Blackmagic gear. Previous ingest before the upgrade had black levels mapped correctly.
I’m pretty sure this needs attention from the engineers, since the customer’s setup is now the preferred configuration for this above gear.
