Activity Forums Maxon Cinema 4D “Irawian” Reflectance Layer won’t scale in render

I guess you’re probably testing the scale parameter on Reflection Layer 2, but that layer is all but invisible because of the layer mask you’re using. In the mask you have a layer shader in which you’re multiplying a noise over another noise that’s almost completely black.

But when I place the material on other objects, the Scale U and Scale V parameters work just fine. You can see the difference side by side. Just to be clear I’m talking about the cloth shader on the wrinkled sleeve

I don’t see any difference here. Are you talking about scaling the UV in the texture tag or scaling in the reflectance shader itself?

Directly in the shader. If you create a primitive and drop the texture on it, lower the scale U and scale V to about 10% and you should see what I’m talking about

Nevermind, that worked. Had to wait until I got to the machine it was on to test. Don’t know why I was getting that strange result above but it doesn’t matter now. Thanks!
