  Ipod format question

  Got another question here.
  I used to sync my music onto my ipod through my pc.
  I transfered all my music to my new mac, and when I hooked up my ipod it says formated for windows.

  Will this be a problem down the line? Especially with updates?
  If I reformat it for mac, will there be any improvements? Will I be able to hook it up to PCs as an external harddrive?
