    I was wondering if you might suggest a suitable fcpx plug-in etc so that I could drop in a horizontal iPhone still into another shot running underneath?

    Hi there,

    I suppose You can just blend them together by tweaking the transparancy a bit. Or maybe just using the built in dissolve transition. Hope I understood the question right.

    Ripple Training just released a free FCP plugin called “RT Blend Modes.” It lets you “test drive” different built-in blend modes when you composite one picture over another, to see what the result would be before you actually apply a blend mode. Check it out here:

    I think I’ve seen other iPhone templates. Maybe PremiumVFX or Pixel Film Studios. Look in FxFactory, too, for others besides OSM.
