Posted by Richard Cardonna on July 31, 2012 at 3:46 pmWhat are the best ipad apps for our line of work:
Shooting, editing/finnishing/prepro that can work within cs & fcpor fcpx workflow?Dose androide have equivalents or exclusive apps for content creation?

July 31, 2012 at 8:25 pmI’m actually interested in this as well. There’s the obvious use which is a teleprompter app and a mount which has worked great. I also use air display and chuck my audio mixer on the ipad when editing in fcp7 but I have been looking for a dedicated mixer app to use with fcp or premiere pro for a little bit now.

July 31, 2012 at 8:47 pmWouldn’t an iPad work great as a interface for grading suites like Resolve?

July 31, 2012 at 9:14 pmThere’s always this but I have no experience with it. I know it’s not Resolve but it’s still cool.

July 31, 2012 at 11:38 pmI’ve used the Tangent iPad app for grading short projects at home on Color. We have the bigger Tangent panels at work and once you get used to the ball and wheel approach, it’s hard to use Color with a mouse.
Cheers

August 1, 2012 at 5:51 amThis is/was a terrific iPad audio control surface for FCP 7 that uses Mackie Machine Control as an interface.

Sadly, Avid doesn’t support MMC, Premiere doesn’t support control surfaces at all, and FCP X doesn’t know what a mixer is. But hey, if you’re using 7, its a fun little iPad ap.

August 1, 2012 at 2:08 pmAnother vote for movie slate here.
I don’t own it, but have been the recipient of movie slated shows. It’s great and you can even send/receive tc with hardware add ons. There’s also the ‘mambo frame’ from Pomfort to go with it.
A few DP buddies rely on Sunseeker especially when scouting.

August 1, 2012 at 3:09 pm[Chris Harlan] “Premiere doesn’t support control surfaces at all”
We support them in Audition today and know that surface support in Premiere Pro is important for the future.
