I setting up a new 27in. thunderbolt imac. I have retried my old MacPro and I am wondering how to setup the audio with the new imac. With the old MacPro I was running my Mackie speakers into my Mackie 1402 mixer, then into my tape deck, then firewire into the MacPro. My question is can I run this same set up with my speakers and mixer into the imac using the AJA ioxt? I think the ioxt only has audio out though. Are there other options?

    Thank you

There are probably different ways to do this. My audio monitors are self powered so I bought a little $50 box that splits the HDMI out into:

    1.) HDMI
    2.) Analog RCA pair
    3.) Optical

My audio monitors have optical inputs and so I use that. Very clean.
