    Here’s a good one…have an external Iomega 250g….has been fine. Today I fire things up and the HD will not mount…go to Disk Utilities…yep it’s there…do a force mount- nothing…try another cable, try usb. try firewire…nada
    -called Apple Care..” you have to reformat your drive ( it has about 87 g left on it) or call Iomega”..geez..brilliant…

    and sure fixes or what the heck is going on?…friend told me to get G-tech externals…tx Jay

    Did you try Verify Disk in disk utilities?

    If you have any disk utility apps ie disk warrior, tech tools. Try running them. If it’s a corrupt catalog it’ll give you the best shot at fixing it.
