I/O via OWC Thunderbolt 2 Dock?
Posted by Chip Hess on September 6, 2015 at 5:54 pmThis is not listed on the Avid website, but does that definitively mean Avid will not recognize the device, and work?

September 6, 2015 at 7:58 pmIt most likely means they have not licensed and implemented Avid’s Open I/O for third party development. Without that, you have no support.

September 6, 2015 at 8:40 pmJeff interesting news.
I understand Avid does not fully ‘support’ it, but if a licensed plugin was required to work, then no go, I guess. Must not be the case.So long as I can get a signal out for the client monitor!

September 6, 2015 at 10:18 pmThat device has nothing to do with Avid. It’s just a Thunderbolt bridge, to add more connections to the computer. I use it with my MacBook Pro. Couldn’t really manage without it, really.

(My pictures are offline, but you get the idea)
I use the OWC Thunderdock, the one you are talking about. I route thru it to an AJA IoXT…that’s what I get capture IO and client monitoring from.
