IO LA Audio issue
Hi folks,
running G5 and FCP 4.5 with an IO LA and have a small gripe- Many times when I’m playing a sequence, the audio just mutes (goes away). I can temporarily resolve this be refreshing the a/v devices (it’s a short cut on my keyboard) but it keeps happening. It’s especially embarrassing and annoying when I am previewing a final playback for a client and I have to keep stopping, refresh, and resume. Anyone know if this is a hardware issue, driver, setting, or something else?

trash your preferences. Certainly think about upgrading to the latest MAC OS and FCP 5, along with the latest AJA drivers. Most systems have no problems.

I would at least go to the aja website and download their latest drives and firmware. Then make sure you trash all the older aja stuff before you install the new. See if that helps. If not call aja tech guys, they are very helpfull.

trying to work through it now with tech support
it’s a real pain
