    Working in DVCPRO HD should not be a problem at all with your drives. You would have to capture the footage via firewire from a AJHD-1200a deck into your G5.

    If someone is going to capture the footage for you on a Kona2 or Decklink card to some media drives, then you can edit it. But the IO is not meant for HD. Just Standard def flavors of 8 bit and 10 bit. I have one DVCPRO HD project that I can actually see through my IO. All be it single frames at a time. When I set the IO as my output, I see the DVCPRO HD footage refresh on my SD monitor in letter box form.

    If you want to work in HD without restrictions, I would recomend you get a Kona 2.
