i/o error
Hi all,
Anyone have suffered i/o errors last times? They just started to me a couple of days ago, but in a very weird way.
My stuff: G5 2 Ghz PCI-X, 2,5 gb ram, QT 6.5.2, FCP 4.5,10.3.8, Atto ul4d, and 8 Glyph scsi disks,decklink extreme 4.8 drivers.
I have two raids of 4 disks each one. And the errors only happen in one of them. And another strange thing is that fcp allows me to capture dv and uncompressed 10 bit! And the i/o problem only appears when i try to capture uncompressed 8 bit. Obviously is fundamental for me to capture at 8 bit, because i’m in the middle of a project.

What does the Speed Test show for the drive speed?

A lot of thanks robert. I was out the weekend and i couldn’t reply before.
It shows enough speed to play uncompressed SD. 110 MB/s writting and reading. And i have formatted the raid a couple of times, preventing bad sectors or anything like that.
