    Hi Guys

So I’m trying to uninstall the IO drivers/prefs etc so I can install my new IO HD. I downloaded the uninstaller app and ran it. It said it worked but my presets were still listed in FCP. So I ran it again…it found three other files to delete. I rebooted and…the fcp presets are still there.

Is this normal? Has anyone else run into this?

    Thanks…

you are running the AJA un-installer that was with the older version of the software?

FCP prefs are not reset until the reinstall…..

    Thanks Gary

I downloaded the uninstaller straight from AJA.com. Sounds like this is normal and they’ll be gone once I install the IOHD?

BTW-may I ask your procedure when you switch back and forth between IOHD and IO?

    Thanks again Gary…

[Dave Martin] “I downloaded the uninstaller straight from AJA.com”

all aja driver installs include an uninstaller, in the folder where the apps are stored. downloading a newer version will not remove all of the files- every version is different, that is why the files were no properly removed.

“sk your procedure when you switch back and forth between IOHD and IO? “

    Switching between drivers.

I uninstall using the current drivers uninstaller
( found in Applications >AJA Utilities and I keep the icon in my dock for simplicity)

then run the installer for the replacement driver and reboot.
