    Hi
When I playback thru the Aja I/o the volume goes way up, but on the timeline there are no peaks. (and the audio tracks are created on a professional studio). What is this?
In the meantime I’m lowering the volume in the timeline, but how can I solve this?
Direct output from AJA I/O to external recorder or external monitor, no console in between. Do I need to get a console?

    Tnaks

    Thanks Experts

    Christian:
If you are talking about the difference in level between the output of your Mac and the Io, there is a big difference. The Mac’s audio out is at consumer level around -10 dbf and the Io is at professional levels, selectable between +18 and +24dbf. How is your system configured? Does the Io feed your deck directly? Does your deck have professional balanced inputs? Does the deck then feed your monitors? In my system I use an 8-input mixer with balanced inputs for my two decks the Io. I also feed the output from my Mac into a couple of unbalanced inputs. The mixer then feeds the decks (for analog recording) and a powered speaker system for monitoring.
