Invisible (hidden) track solution (vegas 10)
I just solved a problem I couldn’t find any solution for on the Internet, so I came here to spread the good news.
I was working on a project with 45 tracks (video and audio). Somehow I hit some kind of key that sent one of my audio tracks away to the cornfield.
It was totally invisible, but even when I tried deleting all the other tracks, it was still playing on an empty timeline.
My Undo history showed when it happened as “Moved Track” but to where?
I realized that somehow the track had left its Group and wound up just below it.
Evidence: 1, If I Ctrl+A Select All and copy to a new Vegas window, the track contents appeared on the eighth track, just below the group.
2, I realized one of the track numbers was missing. The group ended with 7 and the next track below that was 9.
I solved it this way, and I hope any of you stuck with a Vegas version that does this can solve it the same:
1. Ungroup all groups. This may not be necessary.
2. Highlight the range including the missing number. In my case I clicked on tracks 7 and 9 with the shift key.
3. Group these tracks. The missing track will reappear in the group! I had 7 8 9 grouped now.
You can ungroup and regroup as needed from here.
Sorry, there were no replies found.
