Inverting or reversing an Audio Clip
Can somebody suggest the quickest way to reverse or invert an audio clip–meaning how to make the clip play backwards?

Which version of FCP?
It’s easy with a QT file that has video and audio. in FCP 7 you load the clip into the viewer and set the speed to -100 in the Speed Tab – that reverses both audio and video.
In FCP 6 you check the reverse checkbox and it reverses playback for both audio and video.
It you have audio only, perhaps you can link it to some picture track, reverse both, then unlink the picture and delete it.
