I’m sure an easy fix, but I don’t know why the heck I’m getting this warning every time: “Select the bones and controller before creating IK” Frustrating, as I’ve followed several online tutorials who do this with Duik’s, including the wonderful Andrew Devis’s here on CC, but I keep running into this error message. I’m not using shapes, but the puppet tool. I’ve created them from finger tip, wrist, elbow to shoulder tip, using only 4 Puppet pins… Parented them correctly, followed the chain to controller and Walla – I still get that annoying message! What am I doing wrong!? I’m sure it’s very simple and I’m just not seeing it! PLEASE HELP!!

Without seeing your file I’m guessing. However its more than likely that one of the following isn’t correct:

    1) the parenting order

    2) the selection order (finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, controller)

    3) You have not set up the IK with the correct controller.
