Intro feedbacks please

I agree with Ted totally … I’d only add that I would also make the “Graphics Media Productions” scale in from closer to the camera right before the flare goes across it in order to draw the viewer’s eye to what seems the most important element – the company name. Perhaps even make that line a little bigger. All in all, nice work.

I agree with the others — let your graphic build. I’d also add that there are two distinct moments in your soundtrack, and you could time your animation with those beats.

Also, I understand that you’re using this as an intro. How do you intend to get from the intro to the piece that follows? Hard cut, dissolve, or perhaps a custom transition? Unless you’re building a custom transition into the animation, don’t forget to leave some extra head and tail to make this easier to use in post production.

I agree with what everyone else has said. For an open, there needs to be more movement, and while your logotype is cool looking, the star of the open is the name of the company. I think that an effect by which the name starts out large, then parks into place, followed by the flare, would help things.

The sound effects are nice, but for an open I would pick something more dynamic – this looks like a piece which would dissolve on at the end of a movie or show to acknowledge the production house. I can also see the possibility of using the black in the logotype to mask a reveal bringing in the content of the demo.

Overall, great stuff, but I suggest a couple of things.

1. The placement of “graphics media productions” is way off to the left. This needs to be bigger and centered. If people are going to be seeing this embedded or on youtube, you need that to be bigger, or drop it all together. You don’t want people to squint. If this is for HD, then I’d push it to the middle and not having it hang out on the left past the G. If you want to let it all hang out, then enlarge it and hang it out on the right as well.

2. Since you have this nice lens flare business going on and sky-like background, why not start from black and bring the logo up with highlights, like you’re seeing it revealed by a sunrise. So maybe start black, glint some light off the logo and then bring in the rest, so it resolves on your blue background. it’ll also give a “reason” why there’s all the light play happening.

3. Bring in the Graphics Media Productions a bit later, say on the second big swoop of the music. You barely get enough time to see the logo before the laser sound brings in another element to look at. It needs to be “beat…logo…beat…subtitle…” otherwise, you’re distracted.
