interview mic
Posted by Titan41 on July 21, 2005 at 10:18 pmI’m taping a interview with 4 people on a sofa.
I’ll have to use a fixed mic off of a c-stand and
boom pole. Any suggestions on the best mic to use
with the 100a?David Jones replied 20 years, 9 months ago 3 Members · 6 Replies -

July 22, 2005 at 1:42 pmDo you own any microphones now, if so what?
If not, what is your budget to spend on a solution?
Will the intended mic remain stationary on the boom, or will an A-2 move the mic over each person as they talk? -

July 22, 2005 at 3:48 pmI own no sound gear at present. Budget isn’t
a problem for a rental. The mic will be
stationary, overhead, center, front. -

July 22, 2005 at 10:52 pmIf budget isn’t a problem, since you are renting,
why not also “rent” an audio engineer and record the audio properly
rather than just hanging a stationary mic overhead, as the sound quality will be less than pleasant.Lav mics on each person run through a mixer would be optimal.
Or an A-2 on the boom pole with a shotgun. -

what a sanctimonious twit calls a boom
person. Said boom person would be booked not
rented. -

The sanctimonious twit who does this for a living will just say,
Good Luck with your shoot!
