  • Interpolate between two frames ?

    Hello friends,

I have a 3d render sequenze, but one frame is damaged I can’t use.

Now I would like to interpolate between the other frames.

    so let’s say,

    – frame 01 is good
    – frame 02 is bad
    – frame 03 is good

Now I would like to make a mix between frame 01 and 03 to get close to frame 02…..

    hmmm… any idea ?

    thx a lot,
    bernhard

Couldn’t you time remap? ie, delete the damaged frame from the sequence then use pixel motion to add the extra frame back in between 1 and 3?

yep, getting the frame replaced would be best. but if you like experimenting, you might try this…

    1. drag frame01 and frame03 onto the new comp icon, choose to sequence layers (no overlap). this will give you a comp with only 2 frames.

    2. take that comp into a new comp.

    3. apply the timewarp effect and set the speed parameter to 66.66667. check out the second frame on that comp… it should be a new frame interpolated from frame01 and frame03 from your sequence.

you can make further tweaks to the tuning parameters to make it look better. if you get it looking good, then you can trim that comp to just that 1 interpolated frame and use that in your sequence, or render it out and replace the bad frame in the sequence.

it’s hard to say how good the results will be, but if you like experimenting, give it a try…

Thank you guys, I fixed this… but got another very interesting issue…

during playing with the time warp effect, I can’t figure out how I can make an entire footage with a slwo motion of 50%.

I import the footage into a new comp.
I make it double long as the original.

I use 50% speed, but it’s weired, the video doesn’t play until to the end…. it stops mcuh earlier… but I want to have the entire video footage 50% slow until to the end…

    what to do ?

    thx

ohh, I figured it out, if osmeone else is lookign for the answer:

Interpret Footage and loop it two times….

    that’s it,
