  • Interpereting footage?

I am working on a project that required compositing an existing logo animation. It was providing on tape, so I had it digitized.
I am wondering how I should interperet this footage, the logo bounces around alot, which creates alot of ghosty fields. Though when I interperet it using Lower field first, the footage gets kinda soft.

I dont have a video card so I cant see how it will look when played through a card.

    Thank
    Andrew

If you see interlacing, it was interlaced. If you don’t expect to blur/distort/move/scale the footage, you can avoid separating the fields and leave them as is.

    What tape format?
How was it digitized? Which codec?
