I have a Mac Pro that’s a few years old and out of warranty from my employer. There are 3 additional HDs installed, which appear in the RAID utility but not the Disk Utility.

Can someone help me figure out how to make these drives useable?

Run system profiler (in your utilities folder) and see if your mac sees them. If they appear there, then perhaps something can be done. If they do not appear there, then it’s likely that either a cable is bad or the drives are dead.

    Best,
