    Hi,

    I imported my footage (DCI 4K in Prores 444 at 60fps) into FCPX, it replaces certain frames with black ones, which can be scrubbed through in the timeline. Strangely, when playing the footage in Quicktime player, there are no black frames. The black frames occur in some clips, while others are unaffected.

    I’ve tried erasing preferences, deleting project renders, deleting and reimporting footage, making a new library, and editing on a different machine but nothing works.

    Out of curiosity, I imported the footage into Premiere to see what would happen, and the black frames appeared there as well, in the same positions, along with a slew of error messages saying how it couldn’t pull those frames.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    So I found a sort of fix: For some reason if I click the “View” in the Viewer and then under “Show” check the Angles setting, the black frames all disappear and the footage is back to normal. The moment I full screen my viewer or uncheck Angles, it goes back…
