If I am seeing interlacing on a 24p (progressive) clip, what should I look for to correct this? I checked the interpret footage and it is set to no fields so I have no idea what is going on.

24p is not 24p right out of the camera. It is 24p with pulldown added to make 60i.

You need to remove that pulldown in AE, and field separation should be set to lower first (I’m assuming). You need to know if your camcorder does advanced (24Pa) pulldown. Check the help on “pulldown”.

Thanks for getting back to me. The clip is 24p progressive. It was converted through DVFilm Maker from 60i. It is true 24p. Any other thoughts?
