Interlacing progressive credits roll for HD CAM PAL delivery

Hi,

I’ve been reading for hours but wasn’t able to find ultimate solution.

What I need to do is prepare HD CAM tape (PAL – 50i – for European broadcast) out of 25p ProRes file. I have no worries according to main feature, but credits roll is different piece of cake.

The client is unable to provide me with interlaced version of it, so I need to manage somehow on my own. For now, tutorial from Creative COW looks most promising: https://library.creativecow.net/articles/solorio_marco/interlacing_progressive_footage.php but it’s almost ten years old, so maybe could you advise something better?

I need it to be as smooth as possible to pass broadcasters QC. Would simply switching progressive to top field first with a little motion blur be enough?
I will upload sample file in few hours.
