    interlacing problem

    I am currently using avid express pro hd – newest ver. I shot my footage on the cannon DVX at 24p. I have seemingly tried everything but I always get interlacing and artifacts upon export. Can anyone help?

    Exactly – the source format is defined, but not the project type. Since this is an NTSC format, it will maintain the interlace structure of 2:3 pulldown if edited in a 30i NTSC project. Progressive frames are extracted in an NTSC 23.976p project for both ADVANCED and NORMAL pulldown.
