I haven’t been working with DV footage for a couple years. I seem to have forgotten how to deal with interlacing issues when burning DV footage to DVD from FCP. I shouldn’t be too hard since it is so common. Please help jog my memory on how I used to deal with this. I am exporting using Compressor from FCP bottom field first. Do I really need to add a filter or wait hours for a frame controled compressor export?

    Thanks.

You shouldn’t need to do anything at all. If you’r using a tool that lets you, just set the MPEG-2 field order to Bottom.

I realized that their problem was that the timeline used to be anamorphic and therefore the titles were still anamophic… which was making the titles look horrible… which made me think I was doing something wrong. All is well now that the titles are fixed. Thank you very much for your response.
