interlacing and deinterlacing issues
Hey everyone, I’m currently doing a project in Premiere Pro CS4. My footage is coming from DV and I imported it through firewire. When I was in the capturing screen, I noticed lines when there was motion (at this point I did not realize it was because the footage was interlaced until a quick internet search). So to fix it I made a new project with custom settings. I kept all of the default settings the same as DV interlaced but changed interlaced to progressive. This fixed the problem and I didn’t have issues between switching between wide screen and 4:3 footage (while reading another post on here I read to properly resize image ratios it must be progressive). After reading some posts though it seems like I should have had to do more to fix the problem, and now what I am concerned about is if I’m eventually exporting to DVD with my progressive project, will I run into any issues because of the way my project was originally set up? I also am going to be adding graphics such as lower thirds and the clients logo, but that’s more of an aftereffects export settings issue, correct? Thanks for your time everyone.
